The Gospel of Luke | The Sower and the Seed – Luke 8:4-15

In the most essential and important of the parables, Jesus helps the disciples see the importance of the word’s place in their ministry. Our willingness to not merely hear the word but to hold on to the word amid the seasons of life is illustrated through the use of a parable about sowers and seed. Jesus shows the inevitable outcome of a seed sown on good soil and points our hope to the surety of God’s promise to produce fruit through the word.
