The Gospel of Luke | Hard to Say – Luke 5:17-26

This Sunday, Pastor Steve Heron continues our Luke series, Jesus: The Savior of the World, and will preach from Luke 5:17-26.

In one of the more well-known passages in all the Scriptures, some friends dig through a roof to get a paralyzed man to Jesus. Jesus has the audacity to respond to their faith with a proclamation of forgiveness which shocks the religious leaders. Their skepticism over Jesus’ word and authority invites us to consider: Can we really give people confidence that their sins are forgiven? Jesus says we can.
