The Gospel of Luke | At Your Word – Luke 5:1-11

We resume our series, Jesus: The Savior of the World. Pastor Steve Heron preaches from Luke 5:1-11.

Luke introduces us to the calling of the first disciples – men who walked, talked, and were trained by Jesus. In an incredible story of Christ’s sufficiency and power, Luke shows us the miracle that causes these men to drop everything and follow Jesus. Jesus’ word of power creates an incredible catch of fish that results in Peter’s acute awareness of his own sinfulness. How do we start our discipleship journey? We do so with simple faith in His powerful word and a revelation of our need for a Savior.
