On the heels of the disciples’ censorious response to others preaching in Jesus’ name, we find them responding to those who reject Jesus on his journey to Jerusalem. Demonstrating His patience and mercy and educating the disciples, Jesus again redirects the natural impulses of those who say they follow him.
