“Christians believe in fairy tales.” “The Bible is just a bunch of made up stories.” Of course, we hear these accusations in our own culture, but they are certainly not new. This week, we see Peter—motivated by his looming death—respond to this serious charge in his own day. Concerned that his readers will be crippled by doubt, he persuasively shows why we can all have concrete hope in the amazing claims of the Bible.
